Sophie
Sophie’s financial privilege comes from a payout from her mother’s employer after she died during Sophie’s childhood. She’s held this with a strong awareness of how unusual it is, since most people who lose a parent don’t end up wealthy as a result. She’s spent years exploring how to redistribute resources without holding decision-making power herself, which is what got her excited about Guerrilla.
Sophie’s work is focussed in various ways on supporting campaigners and activists to dismantle power structures which enable injustice and oppression. Outside of work, she’s usually chasing her family through woods and up rainy hillsides, experimenting with new ways to cook beans and lentils, or listening to Bach and old-school drum ’n’ bass.
