ShareAction is a charity that aims to improve corporate behaviour on environmental, social and governance issues through Responsible Investment (RI) by pension funds and other institutional investors. The charity believes that to achieve healthy and sustainable returns for investors, the corporate sector must balance a focus on profit with social and environmental responsibility.
ShareAction runs campaigns on issues the investment industry has the power to influence, such as paying the Living Wage, reforming company tax practices and protecting the environment. The charity also trains and assists individuals to attend company AGMs and hold directors to account on these issues. It also publishes influential research on the Responsible Investment performance of UK asset managers and pension funds, and undertakes policy work to advance RI in the UK and Europe.
Next to supporting their general operations, the Guerrilla Foundation has also donated into the campaign to empower pension savers to unlock sustainable investment.
