Fliplanthropy #5: Pathways to Philanthro-Radicalisation Fliplanthropy
Meet radical resource redistributor Marlene Engelhorn and discover different entry points into redistributing more, or all accumulated wealth.
The act of giving up power, even benevolent power, is not an easy process, but some people make it easier than others. Giving space is not only essential for healthy ecosystems to grow and diversify, but there are more and less responsible ways to go about this. We sit down with infamous philanthropic sunsetter, radical redistributor, and philanthro-abolitionist Marlene Engelhorn to explore the ins and outs of redistribution strategies, and what are the first steps that get funders into the mojo of joining the radical giving movement.
In our last episode of the series, ‘flipping’ is interpreted as a context shift. If more people are engaged in the radical resource redistribution movement, it may eventually be the reference point to what philanthropy should be, and what the acceptance threshold of the field is.
