Fliplanthropy #1: Unlearning Wealth-Class Narratives with Stephanie Brobbey Fliplanthropy
How to influence the narrative of philanthropic giving and go beyond ‘the founders’ syndrome’ and prevent the reproduction of white saviour complexes?
In this first episode of the radical funders series Fliplanthropy, we blast past the neoliberal lens and face confrontation with the (colonial) ghosts of the past in environments of wealth creation in the West. We look at different decolonial narratives that have mobilisation potential for donors, allowing them to shift perspective, redistribute more resources to social justice and inspire change in the field of philanthropy.
